About
Sorry, James is an indie adventure strategy game published by Hook Games, GrabTheGames, and WhisperGames with development by Konstructors. The title was released on November 10, 2017, and offers a single-player experience within the casual simulation genre. Players engage with a non-linear story-driven puzzle format that takes an unusual step in storytelling. You assume the role of James Garner, a security engineer at Mantis Corp., a leading tech company in the weaponry field. Your usual task is to decrypt company files, but this assignment becomes weirder when you realize the files contain bizarre chat. The job shifts into hacking a love story, raising questions about why this matters for Mantis and what can be hidden in someone's conversation. The plot unfolds through dialogues between two strangers while you learn a tale about James and his role in decrypting those files. This atmosphere combines elements of a creepy thriller with conspiracy themes. The gameplay mechanic mixes Sudoku and Minesweeper-like puzzles alongside the story features. The main story length is three hours, which remains consistent when including extras. A completionist playthrough extends the experience to five hours.
