About

Summoner is an action, fantasy, and RPG title developed by Volition and published by THQ Nordic GmbH. The game was released on October 25, 2000, offering both single-player and co-op experiences for players. You can choose from up to sixteen different creatures to summon during combat, including minotaurs, golems, dragons, and other fantastical beings. The world spans two continents and features a beautiful, original setting where you traverse diverse landscapes. The narrative follows Joseph, who was born with the mark of the Summoner and possesses power surpassing emperors and gods. As a child, he summoned a demon to save his village but witnessed the destruction of those he loved shortly after. Nine years later, the armies of Orenia invade, forcing Joseph to confront the prophecy he was destined to fulfill. Players will cast spectacular spells and wield an arsenal of weapons while clad in warrior armour. The main story takes approximately twenty-seven hours to complete, with additional content extending playtime to thirty-six hours. A completionist run also requires about thirty-six hours to finish all available objectives. While the official multiplayer servers have been taken offline, local area network multiplayer remains functional for groups of friends. The ancient Khosani crafted rings that allow gifted individuals to call forth demons, dragons, and elementals into battle. Only the strongest summoners can control the forces they unleash within this rich fantasy setting.Read more
