Tales of Zestiria is an RPG published by BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment and developed by BANDAI NAMCO Studio Inc. The game was released on October 19, 2015, and offers both single-player and multi-player modes. Players accept the burden of the Shepherd to fight human darkness and protect their world from Malevolence. This journey aims to reunite humans and Seraphim in a setting torn by war and political skirmishes between two powerful nations. The adventure features Lailah, the Lady of the Lake who guards the Sacred Blade, alongside best friend Mikleo. Together they discover that a powerful force is rising in the shadow as the story unfolds. The game presents an epic journey set in a Medieval fantasy world with beautiful animations realized by ufotable. Environments are diversified and huge throughout the adventure, supported by the Seraphim Advanced Battle System. This system allows for fusions between Sorey and Seraphim during battle scenes that are seamlessly integrated into the environment. The main story length is 42 hours, while including extras extends playtime to 58 hours. A completionist approach requires 134 hours to finish all content.

Tales of Zestiria doesn't deviate too far from its competent predecessors, but it's not a carbon copy, either. It may have linear dungeons and a less-than-stellar story, but it's open-world exploration, enjoyable customization, and flashy new Armitization feature are enough for it to stand on its own.
