About
The Council is an adventure and role-playing game published by Focus Entertainment and developed by Big Bad Wolf, released on March 12, 2018. This single-player title invites players to explore a narrative where choices and character growth significantly influence the outcome. The story begins in 1793, placing you in the role of Louis de Richet, a member of a secret society invited to a private island. You will navigate a tale of intrigue and manipulation while searching for your missing mother within this historical setting. The complete season includes all five episodes, offering a fresh take on the narrative adventure genre. Players must make hard-hitting decisions that develop various skills and directly impact how the story unfolds. Permanent consequences ensure there is no going back once actions are taken in this classic murder mystery style. The game features a cast of characters who each hide dark secrets, requiring you to trust no one while uncovering dire truths. The main story takes approximately 14 hours to complete, with the full experience extending to 16 hours when extras are included. Those seeking to explore every aspect of the game can expect a completionist run lasting about 19 hours. Throughout the gameplay, you will live with the weight of your decisions as they affect both mind and body.
