What is The Isle?
The Isle is a simulation, indie, action, and adventure game developed and published by Afterthought LLC. It was released on December 1, 2015. The game features multiplayer gameplay. Players experience fierce open world survival gameplay as they attempt to stay alive on an unforgiving island inhabited by dinosaurs.
The Isle is intended to be a gritty, open-world survival horror game. Players explore vast landscapes of dense forest and open plains, traverse treacherous mountains, and wade through dark swamps where horrors lurk. Ruins hidden within the world offer insight into what came before. The main goal of the game is survival. There is little in the way of hand holding or ulterior precepts to alter play styles or purpose. It's kill or be killed.
The islands and their inhabitants will radically change over the course of development as players learn how to flourish and thrive. Your mistakes will be punished. The main story length is 6 hours.
