About
The Silver Case is an adventure game developed by Grasshopper Manufacture Inc. and published by AGM Playism. This title, which marks the debut work of developer SUDA51, has been fully remastered and localized into English for the first time. The game was released on October 6, 2016, and is designed as a single-player experience. Set in Tokyo's 24 Wards during 1999, the narrative follows detectives from the Heinous Crimes Unit investigating serial murders. Their investigation focuses on Kamui Uehara, a legendary serial killer responsible for assassinations of government officials two decades earlier. Players take control of a protagonist within the Special Forces Unit known as Republic to explore the underground of the city and the police force. The story seeks to uncover the true identity of Kamui and determine if this is indeed his second coming or something else entirely. The main storyline requires approximately 15 hours to complete, while including extras extends the playtime to about 16 hours. For players aiming to see all content, the completionist length reaches roughly 17 hours. The plot involves unraveling various interconnected mysteries that span across the game's setting.

An intriguing but often incoherent mystery that’s bogged down by long-winded dialogue and terrible puzzles.
