About
The Typing of The Dead: Overkill is an action title published by SEGA and developed by Modern Dream that was released on October 29, 2013. This game combines horror and comedy elements from the House of the Dead series with typing mechanics to create an original experience. Players find themselves in the middle of a mutant outbreak located in Bayou county. The gameplay allows users to blast pieces out of zombie hordes across nine stages using one keystroke at a time. The single-player mode lets you save yourself and a friend while working to uncover the mystery behind the outbreak. Multi-player options are also available for those who prefer playing with others. The experience includes randomised kill-words that ensure every game session feels different from the last. Your keyboard functions as the weapon, allowing you to type bullet holes directly into the zombie hordes. Three difficulty levels are included to test typing skills, along with a special hardcore level designed for true keyboard warriors. The gameplay has been redefined to complement these new typing mechanics effectively. Main story content takes approximately four hours to complete, while main story plus extras can take around six hours. Completing all aspects of the game requires about nineteen hours of playtime.
