About
The Void Rains Upon Her Heart is an indie action title published by The Hidden Levels and developed by Veyeral Games, released on February 14, 2018. This single-player experience focuses entirely on boss battles within a bullet-hell framework that incorporates rogue-like elements. Players guide an alien girl trapped in a cave who must use the power of love to befriend bizarre monsters surrounding her. Each defeated creature provides random gifts that strengthen her love, allowing her to face tougher opponents. The game presents over 100 boss battles where every stage offers a random set of enemies at various difficulty levels. Participants choose which specific battles to undertake along the path toward the Final Boss, as each enemy possesses its own range of difficulties and attacks. While some bosses may start with simpler abilities, their capabilities expand as they reach higher difficulty tiers. The narrative questions whether her growing love can withstand The Void itself or if her heart will break again during these confrontations. Completing the main story takes approximately two hours, while including extras extends playtime to nineteen hours. A completionist run requires roughly two hundred hours of gameplay to finish all available content.
