About
The Wind Road is an indie action RPG and adventure title published by Phoenix Games. Developed by 甘肃嘉元数字科技有限公司, this single-player game launched on July 9, 2020. The setting constructs a martial-arts world based on the ancient Silk Road within a fictional era. Players engage in real-time combat as they navigate this historical backdrop. The narrative follows an invasion by the Barbarians of Grey Wolf that has persisted for a hundred years. These forces have deployed troops to Shazhou with the specific goal of capturing Longyou. This threat endangers the safety of tens of thousands of common people living along the route. The Great Karma Scripture emerges as the key element needed to reverse fate for Shazhou and the entire trade route. Monks known as Scripture Escorts face strict prevention from the Barbarians while attempting to deliver the scripture to the Imperial Court. Various forces within Jianghu also act against them, driven by a desire to covet the secrets held within the scripture. The main story requires approximately 18 hours to complete for players focusing on the primary plot. Adding extra content extends the experience to about 24 hours total. For those seeking to explore every aspect of the game, the completionist length reaches around 51 hours. This extensive playtime allows players to fully engage with the world and its various challenges. The game offers a focused single-player experience without requiring online connectivity or multiplayer modes.
