The narrative begins with Egyptian legend where Horus imprisoned the evil God Set in a secret tomb five thousand years ago. Lara discovers this lost tomb and accidentally releases Set, fulfilling an ancient prophecy that threatens to plunge mankind into darkness. She must race against time to re-imprison the deity and save the world from Armageddon. Throughout her journey, she faces pursuit from Werner Von Croy, an unscrupulous archaeologist who serves as her arch-rival. The adventure requires using wit and skill to overcome ingenious puzzles and infernal traps devised by the ancient civilization.
