About

Tormented Souls is an action-adventure horror title developed by Dual Effect and Abstract Digital for publisher PQube. The game was released on August 26, 2021, and offers a single-player experience that blends survival and puzzle elements. Players control Caroline Walker as she investigates the mysterious disappearance of twin girls within a mansion that has been converted into a hospital. The narrative begins with Caroline waking up in a bathtub connected to outdated medical equipment after something terrible happens during her investigation at Winterlake. She must fight for her life while exploring the abandoned halls of the location to uncover the truth. The game draws inspiration from classic survival horror titles such as Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Alone in the Dark. Tormented Souls presents a modern take on fixed-perspective gameplay by combining a dynamic camera with a contemporary control scheme. Players will encounter dark forces and unspeakable horrors that actively work to prevent Caroline from reaching the truth. The main story requires approximately nine hours to complete, while finishing all extras extends the playtime to ten hours. Those aiming for completion can expect to spend fourteen hours exploring every aspect of the game.
