About
Underhero is an indie adventure RPG platformer developed and published by Paper Castle Games. The game was released on September 18, 2018, and features a single-player experience set in the Chestnut Kingdom. Players take on the role of an underling who replaces a failed chosen hero to save the kingdom from their own evil boss, Mr Stitches. The gameplay combines elements of traditional RPGs with precise timing-based combat that eliminates standard turn sequences. This system requires players to use reflexes to evade attacks and defeat enemies rather than waiting for turns. The narrative unfolds through quirky dialogue and silly characters who display distinct personalities throughout the journey. Fans of Paper Mario and similar Nintendo titles will find inspiration in this mysterious world filled with weird humor. The adventure includes encounters with various friends, foes, and strange individuals across the land. Completing the main story takes approximately 12 hours, while adding extras extends the playtime to about 13 hours. A completionist run through all content requires around 15 hours of gameplay.
