Vietnam War is an action title developed and published by Thorium Game Lab, arriving on April 25, 2025. This single-player first-person shooter takes place in a vast open world spanning jungles, hills, and villages throughout Vietnam. Players can choose to fight as either U.S. forces or Vietcong / N.V.A. units across this ever-changing battlefield. The game offers access to a wide variety of weapons and over 50 different vehicles for use during combat operations. Combat involves commanding your squad to follow orders, hold positions, attack objectives, or change formations based on the situation. Other units move and fight independently while you direct them via radio requests for airstrikes, artillery support, reinforcements, and supplies. Missions vary in type depending on the current conditions in the area, ranging from patrolling the Mekong delta and lush river valleys to defending hilltop fire bases. You may also search and destroy enemies within dense jungles or protect loyal villages from infiltration attempts. The environment allows you to build perimeter defenses and manage personal needs such as eating, drinking, smoking, or taking pills to maintain energy levels. There is no main story progression or overarching narrative arc guiding the experience forward. The game focuses on tactical command rather than a structured plot with defined beginning, middle, and end sequences.
