About
Voodoo Vince: Remastered is an action and adventure title developed and published by Beep Games, Inc. The game was released on April 17, 2017, bringing a classic character platformer back after a thirteen-year gap. This single-player experience presents the story in high definition for modern audiences. The narrative follows Vince as he travels from New Orleans streets to a Louisiana bayou. His goal is to locate Madam Charmaine and rescue her from Kosmo The Inscrutable. Players guide Vince through cemeteries, swamps, and an evil carnival during this quest. Combat involves using over thirty voodoo attacks that affect the player character in unusual ways. Vince defeats enemies by utilizing environmental hazards such as falling safes, blenders, and rubble. These dangers are used directly to harm opponents rather than relying on traditional combat alone. The gameplay focuses on running, jumping, and fighting while navigating these treacherous settings.Read moreShow less

Voodoo Vince's action doesn't deviate much from the standard conventions of early 21st-century platformers, but its jazzy music and bizarre New Orleans look render it a memorable experience. With modernized textures, resolution, aspect ratio, and frame rate, this remastered version updates Vince for a new generation, and hopefully ensures he won't get buried like he was in his former incarnation as an Xbox exclusive.
