About
WASTED is an action indie RPG and casual simulation developed by Mr. Podunkian and published by Adult Swim Games. The game was released on June 7, 2016, as a single-player experience set in a post-apocalyptic world. Players navigate a lawless wasteland where survival depends on following the rule to get wasted or get wasted trying. The setting emerges from the ashes of America after a thermonuclear event that removed its greatest minds. Humanity's hardiest specimens remain, creating a new world that mimics a stillborn 1980s culture. This environment is inhabited by tough and mean individuals known as Wasters who fight over scarce resources. The primary resource in this un-civilized society is booze, which players must seek out using bullets and baseball bats. Exploration involves searching through Coolers to find powerful weapons and armor alongside a nice stiff drink. During these efforts, characters may gain strange mutational hangovers from their consumption habits. The main story takes approximately 14 hours to complete, while including extras extends the playtime to about 25 hours. A completionist run requires roughly 27 hours of gameplay to finish all available content.
