ABRISS is a single-player title developed by Randwerk and published by astragon Entertainment that was released on September 5, 2023. This indie strategy simulation focuses on building structures from various parts to crash them into specific targets. The game features digital-brutalist cityscapes where players witness entropy as they unlock new components and destroy more objects. Players choose from parts with different weights, forms, and functions to construct a structure for each level. Combining a thruster, connector, and bomb creates a rocket, while mixing a pillar, connector, and ultra heavy cube results in a giant hammer. Being creative with the available parts allows you to destroy targets using fewer components or in more elegant ways. The campaign consists of seven worlds with several stages, including bonus levels, each featuring a hand-crafted destructible cityscape. You start each stage with a limited set of parts and must find a strategy to use them to destroy all main target blocks. Progressing further unlocks new parts, and every world includes its own special environmental mechanic. The core gameplay involves hitting main targets to win levels in campaign mode by destroying armored walls first or using environment mechanics like giant pistons. You can also try to hit bombs in the environment or simply throw everything at your targets to see if it works. The complex destruction system simulates statics with thousands of little particles of debris and whole chunks of targets flying into the abyss. The main story length is approximately four hours, while the total time including extras reaches five hours. There are no completionist hours listed for this title. In addition to the campaign, you can play sandbox mode to try out new patterns of building stuff or endless mode to reach the ultimate highscore. Photo mode allows you to take a free camera flying to get the best composition of the destruction you caused.
