About
Akimbot is a 3D action-adventure platformer published by PLAION and developed by Evil Raptor. The game was released on August 29, 2024, offering players a single-player experience set in a sci-fi universe inhabited entirely by robots. Players take on the role of Exe, an outlaw robot who teams up with his sidekick Shipset to fight through armies of machines and control spaceships. The narrative kicks off with a prison break as the duo races against Evilware, a former scientist intent on causing chaos across the galaxy. Throughout the adventure, players can explore unique atmospheres and terrains while encountering diverse inhabitants on never-before-seen planets. Combat involves fighting as a space gunner to blast robots back using a varied arsenal of high-powered weapons that can be upgraded with Botcoins earned by destroying the environment or finding hidden crates. These coins are spent in in-game shops to unlock and mod special weapons for real-time battles against diverse robot armies, including Evilware's Abyssal aquatic forces. Movement mechanics allow players to utilize jumps, dashes, grappling, and wallruns to navigate the unpredictable universe alongside a turbo-charged propulsion system that provides an extra double jump boost. The mission requires uncovering the truth amidst an intergalactic war while meeting a cast of crazy companions to save the galaxy from destruction.Read moreShow less
