About
Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector is an indie RPG and adventure game published by Fellow Traveller and developed by Jump Over The Age, with a release date of January 31, 2025. This single-player title supports controller input and features tabletop-inspired gameplay where players configure skills and assemble a crew to survive in a complex world. The experience relies heavily on a dice-driven system that determines outcomes through risk-reward decision-making, satisfying both fans of the original game and new players alike. Players assume the role of a sleeper, an emulation of a human mind housed in an artificial body that is currently malfunctioning after a desperate attempt to escape corporate control and gang servitude. You are on the run from your creators and pursuers, possessing no memory of your past while navigating a ramshackle set of habitats known as the Starward Belt. Your immediate goal involves commandeering a ship called a Rig, building a network of allies, and taking on challenging contracts to build a future for yourself. The world expands beyond a single station, allowing you to chart a course from hub to hub with complete freedom to decide which locations and stories deserve your time. You will manage stress or take damage to your dice system while dealing with glitches that accrue over time, ensuring every cycle counts toward your survival. Each character class offers unique tactical possibilities through upgradable "Push" abilities that can either turn the tide of a difficult job or send you into a dangerous spiral depending on usage. Contracts provide focused, tactical gameplay where you must prepare carefully for multi-cycle, high-risk jobs that offer significant rewards upon completion. These tasks range from exploring treacherous derelicts and conducting risky heists to asteroid surveying and ship repair, requiring you to make the most of your skills and resources. Player choice remains central to the experience through new skill checks that express your class in scenes and branching storylines that ask you to make hard choices. The future of your character depends entirely on the roll of the dice and the difficult choices you make in this living world.Read moreShow less

Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector fine tunes the slow-paced, dice-heavy gameplay of the original with its new and aptly named stress system and multi-stage, multi-character missions.

Citizen Sleeper 2's broader scope stretches its mechanics thin, even while its story flourishes.
