After leaving the military, Royd pursues a quest to uncover the conspiracy behind the incident and find Karen. The narrative features dozens of characters and presents mature themes with protagonists who are not strictly divided into good or evil factions. The extensive combat system allows for strategic maneuvers that bring the realities of war to life on treacherous battlefields. Players can choose between modern or classic gameplay modes and select either a fully reorchestrated or original soundtrack. Additional options include a free camera, a new tactical map, and customization for both Wanzers and pilots. The game offers two distinct campaigns representing the O.C.U. and U.C.S. perspectives alongside multiple difficulty levels to suit different play styles. A Mercenaries Update expands the experience with six new singleplayer scenarios that introduce diverse challenges and new terrain tiles.
