About
Hood: Outlaws & Legends is an action, RPG, and adventure title published by Focus Entertainment with development from Sumo Digital. The game was released on May 10, 2021, and features co-op play along with controller support for multiplayer sessions. Players enter a violent medieval world where rival gangs compete in intense PvPvE multiplayer heists to claim their place among legends. Two teams of four players work together to execute daring heists against wealthy targets while navigating environments patrolled by deadly AI guards. Participants can choose to move in stealth to steal treasures unseen or dominate through loud and brutal combat using unique character skills. Each gang utilizes specific mystical abilities to outplay opponents as they battle a merciless, unchecked state for influence with an oppressed people. The experience focuses on stealing riches and spilling blood while only the best teams successfully escape with hard-earned wealth. Whether acting as a folk hero or a gold-hungry outlaw, players engage in competitive gameplay where legends are reborn through successful missions. The game allows users to select between stealth approaches or direct confrontation depending on their preferred playstyle within the medieval setting.

An accessible online heist game with some fun but clumsy systems and an ugly presentation.

Sumo Newcastle's debut is an engrossing but substanceless heist game - and an interestingly grim take on Robin Hood.

Hood: Outlaws & Legends is a multiplayer stealth-action game that rewards sloppiness over cunning. That can be fun, but it also badly needs more content.

Hood gives you glimpses of a new and exciting multiplayer concept, but its many, many design flaws keep the game from delivering.
