About
I Am Alive is an action, adventure, and survival title developed by Ubisoft Shanghaï and published by Ubisoft. The game was released on PC digital platforms on September 6, 2012. This single-player experience places you as a lone survivor in a dark and insecure post-apocalyptic world. The story begins one year after the Event, a worldwide cataclysmic event that wiped out most of the human race. You must struggle for survival in a desolate city while trying to reunite with your long-lost wife and daughter. The game offers enhanced graphics settings for PC, allowing you to explore the destroyed city in higher resolutions. You can find your way through murky streets covered in toxic dust and rubble within the ruins of standing skyscrapers. While searching for unspoiled resources, you will encounter various survivors who range from friendly allies needing assistance to hostile groups using tactics to hunt you down. Fully configurable mouse, keyboard, and game pad support lets you play using your preferred input method. Combat in I Am Alive relies on deception because ammo is scarce and the encounters are deadly. You must use trickery to deal with groups of enemies while conserving your precious few bullets. Be careful when facing the toughest opponents, as they may call your bluff during intense confrontations. The game includes an Easy mode that provides infinite retries for a more forgiving introduction to survival mechanics. Additionally, a Replay mode allows you to go back and replay any level anytime to uncover secrets, alternate paths, and hidden resources. The main story length is approximately five hours, while the main story plus extras extends to about six hours. Completing all aspects of the game takes around eight hours for a completionist playthrough. These timeframes reflect the duration required to experience the narrative and optional content available in this survival adventure.
