About
Paradise Lost is an indie first-person adventure and simulation game published by Walkabout and developed by PolyAmorous. The title was released on March 23, 2021, as a single-player experience set in a winter of 1980. Players navigate a post-apocalyptic wasteland where the war ended in flames after Nazi nuclear missiles struck most of Europe. The heart of Europe remains shrouded in mystery due to complete destruction and deadly radiation that makes areas inaccessible to the rest of the world. You take on the role of Szymon, a twelve-year-old boy wandering the barren landscape of Poland following his mother's death. While exploring this environment, he discovers a massive Nazi bunker and begins searching for an unknown man from a photograph his mother cherished. The game invites you to descend into a retro-futuristic underground city where advanced industrial technology is intertwined with mysterious Slavic pagan imagery. You will explore the hidden bunker to uncover its history, including its takeover by Polish rebels and the ultimate fate of its inhabitants. A mysterious girl named Ewa contacts Szymon through the bunker's technology despite the desolation surrounding him. If he can locate her, she might provide information about the man in the picture, ensuring he is no longer alone. The main story lasts approximately four hours, while a completionist playthrough extends to five hours including extras. This title offers the last story on Earth for those ready to discover what happened within the bunker.
