About
Screencheat is a competitive split-screen first-person shooter published by Samurai Punk and developed by the same team. The game was released on October 20, 2014, and falls within the action, indie, shooter, and first person genres. Its core mechanic forces players to look at each other's screens because everyone is invisible during matches. This design supports both local and online multiplayer modes for fast and furious combat. Players can engage in single-player time trials before moving on to frantic battles with up to eight participants locally or online. The arsenal includes a wide variety of one-hit kill weapons such as a blunderbuss, a car engine that shoots bouncing plasma balls, and a teddy bear loaded with explosives. Customization options allow users to select from wacky mutators and specific weapons like the dependable Blunderbuss, the heroic Hobby Horse, and the crazy Chefolet. Colorful maps and unique modes further define the experience as an ultimate party FPS. The main story length is two hours, while the total time for the main story plus extras reaches five hours. Completing all aspects of the game takes eight hours in total. The description notes that joining the community on Discord is available for players interested in connecting with others.

Silly weapons and invisible opponents put a fresh twist on Screencheat's old-school approach to multiplayer shooting.

Easy going in tone but frantic and stressful by nature, Screencheat seizes on a single novel idea and builds an enjoyable couch shooter around it.
