About
Unruly Heroes is an action, indie, adventure, and puzzle title published and developed by Magic Design Studios. The game was released on January 22, 2019, offering both single-player and multiplayer experiences that include co-op modes. Players can choose to play solo or team up with others to take control of four distinct heroes. These characters allow users to battle a diverse lineup of enemies while showcasing Kung-Fu skills throughout the journey west. The narrative draws inspiration from the Chinese novel Journey to the West, following four opposed and implausible heroes who must collect scattered fragments of the Sacred Scroll. The story begins when the scroll preserving world harmony is torn apart, causing strange creatures to sow discord and chaos across the land. Users can switch between Wukong the Monkey King, Sanzang the Sleepy Monk, Kihong the Greedy Pig, and Sandmonk the Sensitive Brute to restore balance or face failure. The adventure takes place in fantastical worlds where players hunt for the remnants of the scroll while navigating various environments. Completing the main story requires approximately nine hours of gameplay, with additional content extending the experience to twelve hours total. For those aiming to finish every aspect of the game, the completionist length reaches sixteen hours. The description highlights a focus on martial arts and madcap action as players progress through the scattered fragments quest.
