Aliens: Fireteam Elite has two big announcements. The first is that developer Cold Iron Studios now has Elena Siegman leading production and development, while Kendall Deacon Davis will be spearheading creative. The second is that a quality-of-life update came today.
The shooter's quality-of-life update touches on several aspects of Aliens: Fireteam Elite. They have made updates to the matchmaking that fix host errors, disconnects, queue issues, crossplay, and crashes. All game modes have been added to Quickplay.
Alpha and Beta updates have been made with improvements to offensive, defensive, and support capabilities. An adjustment to scaling and healing for difficulties, an adjustment to behavior when reviving a player, an adjustment to behavior relating to fire paths and friendly fire, and Sleep Mode parameters leaving Alpha and Beta in at least a state of minimal engagement at all appropriate times.
Bug fixes include the Lancer Horde Slayer skin being retroactively granted to players who have already beaten horde mode on extreme, fixed a connection fail when connecting to Epic servers, a fix to an exploit in Cathedral Bridge, fixed a bug on Likasi Tower that prevented player from buying additional consumables, and more.
You can check out the patch notes on the Aliens: Fireteam Elite site for a full list of bug fixes.
Cold Iron Studios aslo teased that they're kicking off a new project with details coming later.
