MMOBOMB
Aug 28, 2025
Amazon Games has something new in the works, and they’re ready to show it off. March of Giants, a free-to-play competitive 4v4 war MOBA, is entering the closed beta stage of development soon, and those interested can request access via Steam now.
The new title is set in an alternate early 1900s, where science and magic intertwine. Battles take place in an urban space featuring technology of the period, such as zeppelins, where teams will be fighting the final battle of a 100-year war. However, players won’t be playing as World War I-style soldiers. Instead, they’ll take on the role of Giants. That said, this is a war MOBA, so there will be soldiers. In fact, players will be able to command thousands of them during gameplay.
It’s worth noting that, unlike other MOBAs, March of Giants uses a battlefield instead of the standard MOBA arena. This battlefield can be changed during gameplay using the Battleworks system. The system allows players to build tactical structures for both offensive and defensive purposes.
As noted, the game will be entering closed alpha testing soon, on September 2, to be exact. The test will take place via Steam and is open to players in Canada, the US, and Mexico. That said, they will be a bit choosy about who can participate. As this is an MOBA, the devs are looking for MOBA players who can offer input. The test will have an NDA that prevents players from sharing screenshots and videos or streaming it. That said, the game can be discussed.
There will also be a structure to the test, including scheduled matchmaking. Players will still have things to do outside of the scheduled periods.
To sign up for the beta test, players will want to head to the game’s Steam page. Do so soon, as we noted, the test kicks off on September 2 and will only last until September 10.
