Look, it's already been a bit of a weird path for WB Games' brawler MultiVersus. Sure, the prospect of all the potential weird matchups a fighting game owned by Warner Bros. could possibly provide has always been interesting, but initially the game just, well, wasn't. Beta last year didn't go all that well and the game basically disappeared with a plan to return in 2024. While some of us thought that we may never see it again, that turned out to not be the case as the game is set to return next week on May 28th, complete with a PvE "Rifts" mode.
Since the date was revealed, we've seen a number of additions to the roster coming in season one, including the return of Mark Hamill as The Joker.
In today's new trailer, there's a few new characters revealed, and I'm pretty stoked about one of them. I'm a huge horror movie buff and the recent almost return of Friday the 13th: The Game in an unofficial fashion was great news...news that was dashed a mere few days later.
However, if I really want to get some time playing as Jason Voorhees, I guess I can head to MultiVersus as the silent stalker will be in the game, and so will Agent Smith from The Matrix franchise.
While Jason will be available at the start of the game's first season, Agent Smith will come a bit later, but still in the first season. You can catch your initial look at the duo at the end of the new launch trailer.
