Following the latest closed beta test, looter shooter Ashfall has released a new FAQ about the game. In it, they answer questions about gameplay focus, localization, optimizations, art, and platforms. We'll hit the most relevant bits.
The next test is slated for sometime either this December or next January.
In terms of co-op and competitive gameplay, they are focused on their multi-player dungeons, guild secret realms, and PvP. They are looking into more multi-player features such as weekend racing or hunting activities.
PvP and multi-player dungeons are cross-server. Guilds and Markets are server-specific.
The game features several sandbox-based levels rather than one large open seamless world.
There will be full English voiceovers in the upcoming test, and an auto-translate button will be added to World Chat.
The Ashfall team continues to work on shooting feedback and will be reducing the recoil of certain firearms, especially the ones from the early game. They will be creating more sources for weapon attachments outside of PvP.
Ashfall will be available on PC, iOS, Android, and they are also working on a PlayStation version. There will be cross-platform play but due to differences in the platforms, they will prioritize same-platform play in matchmaking.
