Celebrate The Holidays Destiny 2 Style With The Return Of The Dawning

Start baking cookies and break out proper snowball fight attire. The Dawning has returned to Destiny 2. Once again, players can celebrate the holidays in the team shooter by participating in a snowball fight in the Crucible or giving (digital) baked goods to friends.

The Snowball Fight portion of the event replaces all weapons and abilities with snowballs. Of course, it won’t just be throwing snowballs at your friends. There is the snowball Super that players can use against their opponents.

It should also be noted that while the snowball fight event takes place in the Crucible, that’s not the only place players will be dealing with snow. The weather effect can be found in other locations, and players can craft and throw snowballs in these places as well. In addition, a Snowstorm modifier in Portal activities will spawn snowballs as players beat opponents.

As for the baking, Eva Levante is back with the cookie quest. Players need to gather ingredients and other necessary items to bake treats to give to other players, and in exchange, they’ll earn Dawning-themed rewards, including new weapons and holofoil variants. Players have until January 6 to earn all the rewards.
