PCGAMESN - Ben Hardwidge

Two new Intel gaming CPUs have just had a massive drop in price, with nearly 25% being wiped off the cost of an Intel Core Ultra 7 265K on Amazon. Originally launched at a price of $394, the CPU is now going for $294.99, just six months after it first came out.
I originally gave this CPU a mediocre score of 5/10 in my Intel Core Ultra 7 265K review, as it had a serious bottleneck in several of our game tests, and it was too expensive for the performance it provided. However, with a huge price drop, as well as a free new performance increase from the new 200S Boost overclocking mode, this Intel CPU is starting to look more competitive.
