A new update is available in Delta Force. Team Jade dropped the patch in the free-to-play shooter yesterday, introducing a new Support Operator by the name of Lina Van der Meer (Codename: Vlinder). Vlinder is a useful individual to have on the team, as just by being there, she extends the downed and dying times of her squadmates. She’s also able to track her allies’ HP status using her butterfly drones and special contact lenses. Speaking of butterflies, her “Flutter Rescue UAVs” can be used to deliver plasma injections to allies within 55 meters of their dispatch spot. Some drones track squadmates and heal them with medical dust. As for offensive abilities, she also utilizes a smoke grenade guided using a gesture-seeking device.
The update also introduced the Aftershock urban warfare map featuring full-scale destruction, several new modes, an Operations Expansion, with a new boss, and improvements requested by players. On the Operations Expansions front, Space City has new areas and introduces swimming mechanics. The new Operations boss is the Efficiency Director, Alonso Hudson, a member of Haavk’s radical faction.
As for the new modes, Flashpoint features a constantly shifting battlefield, and the Firey Owl Hunt in Operations lets players take on the role of the boss Saeed and his guards. A full rundown of these modes can be found on the Delta Force site, along with a list of changes and additions that are too numerous to list here.
