In This Week in Destiny, Bungie highlights the return of the Festival of the Lost event for Destiny 2 and the debut of the new Call to Arms competition for the free-to-play shooter.
The Festival of the Lost begins on October 21, inviting players to don masks, collect candy, and join new activities. The new Haunted Altars six-player PvE event takes place on the Moon and challenges players to defeat waves of enemies and “feed their monster” before destroying it for rewards.
Red Rum(ble) is a PvP twist on Rumble, where players collect ammo and explosive pumpkins from fallen Headless Ones. The event introduces three themed weapons — Gunburn (Kinetic SMG with Kinetic Tremors), Hushed Whisper (Strand Bow), and Arcane Embrace (Arc Shotgun) — available through Eerie Engrams, candy, and event ranks.
Players can also earn the exclusive Feral Heart emblem by watching partnered Destiny 2 streamers on Twitch between October 21 and 28.
On November 11, Bungie launches Call to Arms, a new event spearheaded by Devrim Kay. Players will compete for high scores across five activities — Heliostat, The Coil, Salt Mines, Proving Grounds, and Cutting Edge: Zone Control — to earn rewards and cosmetics, including the Legendary universal helmet ornament. Event ranks offer additional loot such as Sparrows, Ships, Ghost Shells, Shaders, Finishers, and holofoil weapons. High-scoring Guardians will also unlock rare emblems, shaders, and transmats.
