Destiny 2 Makes B2P Content Available For Free, Temporarily

Destiny 2 may be a free-to-play game, but that does have its limits. You can hop into the game for free, but if you want to play all the content, you do have to buy expansions and episodes. But sometimes, Bungie decides to offer players of the shooter a chance to play this content without having to put down any cash. That time is now.

Between now and July 22, Bungie is hosting an “open access” period in Destiny 2. During this time, all currently available expansions will be available to play for free, as will all three currently available episodes. Keep in mind that this is not a deal where the content will remain available after the event period. So you’ll need to play everything before it ends.

That said, players will be able to keep any items earned from completing the content in question. That includes cosmetics, gear, Titles, currency, and Triumphs. The open access is currently live on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC via Steam, the Microsoft Store, and the EGS.
