Digital Extremes Announces Community Event To Prepare Players For The Drop Of Warframe: Tau

Warframe: Tau will be dropping in November, and it seems that Digital Extremes would like to have players of the free-to-play MMO shooter prepared for the journey. So, today, they announced “Epoch Operation: Taubound”, a cooperative in-game community event. During the event, new and returning players will complete activities to earn rewards and collect resources needed for the trip to Tau.

The event is broken into two parts. The first requires players to have completed Vor’s Prize tutorial Quest. In this portion players will need to hit certain milestones while working with other players. This includes harvesting a new resource either on Eris or via timed Alert missions and depositing them to Praghasha for rewards. At 7 pm Eastern every day of the event, Praghasa will take to the airwaves to tell stories.

The second half of the event is the Prologue Quest, Prologue to Tau. This requires players to have completed The Old Peace and The Hex story quests. When accepting Prologue to Tau, players will play as The Lotus to relive her memories. This includes awakening the Vessel to have it harvest resources for the journey to the Tau System.

In addition, an experimental game mode, The Icebind, will offer players a series of tasks to complete. These will require cooperation also.
