Who wants to play some pinball? Or maybe do a little bowling? Because that’s what the next Steam Fest is all about. (I told you they have one for everything.) The Steam Pins & Pegs Fest ends August 20. So, for the next two days, players can check out a huge collection of pinball game demos. Of course, that’s the buy-to-play games. If you want something that you’ll be able to enjoy longer, that’ll be the free-to-play offerings. That said, some of them do have purchaseable DLC that is discounted during the Fest.
As always, we’ve picked out a few of these for you to look at, but you can find more on the Steam Pins & Pegs Fest page.

Zen Studio’s pinball game is touted as “the biggest, most community focused pinball game ever created”. It seems to be all about the competition, offering players the opportunity to create their own tournaments, as well as multiplayer matchups. It also features backwards compatibility. So, if you happen to have Pinball FX2, you can bring it into Pinball FX Classic.
If you don’t feel up to testing yourself against other players, that’s fine. The game also have single player modes that you can use to practice. If you like the game, know that Zen Studios also offers other titles like the regular Pinball FX, Pinball FX Midnight on Steam as well.
This one’s a little different. It’s not just a pinball game. Instead, it’s a game that takes the story of an existing 3D platformer and reimagines it in a pinball format. The game’s hero, Roxy Raccoon is tasked with defeating a dark witch. Normally, players would adventure through different worlds – which is kind of what they’re doing here. They’re just doing it across fifteen different pinball tables with eight different themes. And, since this is a pinball game, they’ll be able to acquire achievements and claim their space on the leaderboards while doing it.
If you’re not feeling the pinball, how about some crazy bowling? Impossibowl isn’t just about knocking down ten pins at the end of the lane. It does have that, but it also offers a whole bunch of interesting levels that require player to use special balls and mechanics to beat. The game offers single-player and local multi-player. It also includes a ball editor, so players can design their own.
This one’s for the classic pinball lovers. It features more than 175 tables, over 40 of which are licensed from one Zaccaria, one of the largest pinball manufacturers in the world. The game comes with a story mode featuring 42 different pinball tables, as well as a leaderboard and achievements.

Okay, this one isn’t really your classic pinball, or a bowling game, but it does have pinball elements, along with some pachinko. And it’s listed on the Pins & Pegs Fest page and has an Overwhelming positive rating. So, it’s here as the fifth offering. Peggle Extreme features 10 levels of what the developers cal “Extreme” challenges, five Master challenges, and the ability to compete against friends in the Duel mode. It also includes themes from some of Valve’s games: Half-Life: Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortres 2.
