MMOBOMB

Free-to-play MMORPG Fractured Online will officially shut down its current version on June 15, as the development team prepares for a full rebuild and relaunch in Q1 2026.
According to Happy Cauldron Games, which bought the IP from Dynamight Studios, the shutdown will allow the team to focus entirely on modernizing the game, including major overhauls to core systems, visual design, and backend infrastructure. Founder packs and in-game purchases are being disabled immediately, and forums will close as the team shifts communication efforts to Discord and other social media platforms.
Fractured Online’s relaunch includes the adoption of Coherence — a new networking solution that replaces now outdated and insecure technology. The rebuild will also introduce improvements to character progression, PvP systems, archetypes, and combat mechanics; all of these planned changes are not compatible with the current version, say the developers. Community testing will begin in Q3 2025, with multiple phases planned to fine-tune balance and design before the full relaunch.
Players who supported the game previously will be given VIP time, store tokens, and founder pack equivalents that will carry over. And Kickstarter rewards are under review and development. The team promises transparency, regular updates, and community-driven development moving forward.
