Gamescom 2026: HoYoverse Officially Reveals Nodusfall

Any long-time player of HoYoverse games knows one thing. They love to cause us pain… inflict a little heartbreak. But, as a rule, they like to wrap that pain in a package of whimsy. With the official reveal of their new co-op game, Nodusfall at Gamescom, it’s pretty apparently they’ve decided to just forgo the whimsy and go straight to pain.

Admittedly, we still don’t know a lot about this game yet – only what we were told during the stream – so we’re basing this on the trailer. What we do know is that Nodusfall is a co-op action game. The game is set in a world where divinity has failed and everything has been disrupted. As Weavers, players fight mythic beings.

It will be interesting to watch this game develop over time, as it’s a pretty big deviation from what we know HoYoverse for. For one thing, it doesn’t seem like it would be a gacha game. And, of course, it’s not an anime-style game. It will be interesting to see how it does, and how the company will go about monetizing it.
