Delta Force: Hawk Ops has a nice string of milestones going for it right now. Not only did the PvEvP extraction shooter start an alpha test, but they've surpassed 1 million wishlists on Steam and are now revealing a new Space City map in a new trailer. The trailer showcases quite a few set pieces as a tactical team works their way through a corporate factory with the whole scene culminating in an "almost didn't make it" escape via a helicopter.
You get quite a good look at some of the game's gunplay in the trailer, too. A few different loadouts are shown off as sniper rifles, melee combat, and even flamethrowers are tossed into the mix. It's a neat trailer and as a fan of the log-running franchise it's nice to see the return being well received so far.
We actually don't know exactly when this alpha will end, but we do know the team is giving away Twitch drops until August 17th so there's certainly still time to try to get your access.
Alpha features two different modes including a co-op extraction mode and Havoc Warfare (a 32v32 mode with squads of 4).
Even though it's only alpha, Delta Force is already removing cheaters at a high rate. It's great to see this ahead of launch and I'm hopeful the F2P shooter's launch will continue this management trend.
The official site is still accepting pre-registrations and rewards for the community are being earned based on how many people opt into pre-registration.
