Kakao Games’ Open-World F2P MMORPG Based On Norse Mythology, Odin: Valhalla Rising, Launches Today

Four years after it launched in Korea, Kakao Games’ F2P open-world MMORPG Odin: Valhalla Rising is now available globally on PC and mobile devices. As the name indicates, the game is set in a world built around Nordic mythology. It features four classes: Warrior, Sorceress, Priestess, and Rogue, and locations based on Norse legends. This does include Midgard.

For PvP fans, the game offers massive battles, something that the press release points out is “not easily achieved in mobile MMORPGs”. The devs have used what they’ve learned since the Korean launch to create a better gameplay experience with the global launch and will be adding guild battles in the future.

In celebration of the game’s launch, an in-game event will reward players with items based on their level ranking. This event will run until the maintenance on May 29.
