A new Zenless Zone Zero Special Program dropped today, offering players of the free-to-play action game a peek at what’s to come in Version 2.4 “On the Precipice of the Abyss”. When we last left off, we, along with help from the TOPS-affiliated enforcement organization, Krampus Compliance Authority, managed to prevent a disaster in Timesworn Hills. But that doesn’t mean the danger is past. After all, one of our own, Ye Shiyuan, was last seen with the current leader of the evil organization of the Exaltists, Sarah. Add to that issues within Porcelumex, the corporation that had been in charge of the area, and we still have problems.
Since the problems involve a TOPS corporation, that means it’s time for Krampus to become more involved. That means the next two agents being introduced to are both part of the organization: a Stun Agent named Dailyn and the Rupture agent, Banyue. Banyue, we spent time with in the last update, while we haven’t been able to spend much time with Dailyn yet. The update also introduces two new combat Bangboo to the game. One of them is a building-block themed Bangboo that will bring the pain.
Dailyn and Banyue will be available on separate Signal Searches, with Dailyn being available first. She’ll share her banner with a returning character, Hugo. Speaking of returning characters, Ellen will return on the same Signal Search as Banyue. The first banner will kick off on November 26, with the update’s launch.
Event-wise, players will see some returning events, such as the Bangboo chess event and a new Golden Mecha event. A new event will have players helping Zhao of Krampus conduct inspections of businesses she’s looking at for investment. And yes, there are combat events as well.
On the quality-of-life front, temple management is being improved with optimizations to the repetitive content, which, if we’re being fair, is most of the temple content after you unlock everything. Periodic rewards from Devon Pawn Shop will be discontinued and moved to other areas of the game. Treasures will be kept, and new accessories for the Proxies’ outfits will be introduced. In addition, an auto management system will be introduced. It will run for up to 20 hours and will prioritize crafting the appropriate items.
Of course, there is a new code for goodies. Players can snag those items using the code KRAMPUS.
