PubSec And Krampus Team Up On A Rescue Mission To Roscaelifer In Zenless Zone Zero’s Version 3.3 Update

Zenless Zone Zero players who completed the last update know that things are not exactly going well in Roscaelifer at the moment. When we last left off, we’d completed an investigation and rescued our friends from The Cunning Hares only to lose contact with Roscaelifer – even our sibling, Fairy, and Roxy who’d gone there to deliver a message can’t be reached.

The city in the sky has been taken over by TOPS company High Ambitions Corp. who have plans for the Sunbringer trio. The actions of the organization haven’t gone unnoticed. In fact, Krampus agent Phoenix (who Cissia had a literal run-in with) was originally there looking to get the Proxies to stop what eventually ended up happening. Since she wasn’t able to prevent it, she’s now teaming up with PubSec senior commissioner Severian in a temporary (and less than friendly) alliance to put a stop to High Ambitions Corp.’s plans.

In the new update, players will learn more about Sunbringer and Helios, and perhaps get some answers to their questions.

Phoenix and Severian will join the free-to-play action RPG’s lineup of playable agents. Phoenix, who will be available when the Version 3.3 update launches on October 21, is an S-Rank Fire Anomaly Agent with a unique self-resurrection ability. Just don’t die too often. There are limits to that particular ability. Her banner will be accompanied by a rerun o f Velina.

Severian is an S-Rank Wind Attack agent who will become available in Version 3.3’s second phase Signal search along with a rerun of Norma.

Both Phoenix and Severian will have alternative outfits available in the game’s shop. Phoenix will have two. Severian will just have the one, which also happens to be the suit he was wearing when he first jumpscared us in our video store.

In the new update’s story, a new type of combat gameplay will be introduced. Players will be able to pilot combat mechs that switch between melee and ranged attacks while working to get back into Roscaelifer. According to today’s special program, the mech gameplay will be carried into future versions of the game.

Version 3.3 will also kick off some spooky Halloween events and another round of solving mysteries with Crowe and Hobble. Although, this time it seems the mystery is who tried to kill Crowe. Considering the few things we do know about the guy, it could be almost anyone.
