New Minecraft update transforms a key recipe, making it easier to manage mobs

The humble Minecraft leash, used for collecting stray mobs and leading them back to your homestead, has already been totally retooled. But now, with new and returning fans flocking to Mojang’s monolithic builder thanks to the Minecraft movie, one of the most key - but often overlooked - pieces of gear in the entire blocky world has once again been reimagined. Courtesy of the latest Minecraft update (or Snapshot 25w18a, to give it its full name), the leash recipe has been made a lot more accessible. Combined with the earlier changes, managing your mobs has never been simpler.
