Of the MMORPGs I’ve tried over the years, there are only a few that I’ve spent a lot of time in. Final Fantasy XIV is one. Secret World and Eve Online are others. And then there’s Aion. For its time, the game world was beautiful, and the gliding was something that, to this day, I wish every game had. (Although I really wished it could have just been flight all the time.) So, the idea of being able to spend more time in that world is an exciting one for me.
That’s why, when a friend messaged me with the news that NCSoft has been out here dropping teasers on YouTube, I was pretty stoked. All three of the videos, dropped in the last 24 hours, are in Korean, so you’ll need to turn on translations if you want to know what they’re really saying. That said, two of them are teasing a live broadcast scheduled to take place on May 29th at 8 pm (most likely Korean time). The third is a brief trailer showing off a bit of the game’s world, including swimming.
If you’d like a little more information on the game (not a lot more, mind you), Azphel discusses the trailer as well as the fact that while there might have been talk of Aion 2 not having factions, the Asmodians and Elyos are still in play.
