New Lost Ark Update Brings Rimeria Besieged, QoL Improvements, And Roadmap Reveal

Smilegate has shared a look at Lost Ark’s upcoming content, events, and system changes. The September 17 update brings Rimeria Besieged, which includes the Assault: Rimeria event dungeon and end-game raid, the new Combat Analyzer tool, the Honor System, multiple in-game events, and a suite of quality-of-life improvements. Full patch notes will go live on September 16.

To help players of the free-to-play MMORPG prepare for Act 4 and the release of Kazeros, the Golden Frog event has been extended through October 15, providing additional opportunities to stock up on Relic Engravings. Meanwhile, Prestige Shop adjustments are on the way, with bound gold offerings rotating out and new items such as Pheons and Life Energy being added. New cosmetics from Korea are also planned. At the end of September, Smilegate will publish the final 2025 roadmap, confirming that the Kazeros balance patch from Korea will arrive in October.

Players were also given a first look at the region merge policy for NA East and West, which prioritizes active players with the highest-level rosters when resolving duplicate names, and awards guild names to the earliest-created guilds. Additional updates include preparations for Kazeros’ Western release, improvements to the Mokoko Bootcamp event — including with future community-driven title and icon contests — and a note on Paradise rewards during season downtime.

Lastly, a new player survey will come later this month to gather feedback.
