Today, Jagex announced that ticket sales for RuneFest 2026 will go on sale soon. The convention, which celebrates all things RuneScape, will take place at the NEC in Birmingham, UK, on October 3 and 4 and, according to Jagex, will be the biggest RuneFest to date. In fact, they’ve doubled the event’s capacity over last year’s, meaning 6,000 players and more than 300 Jagex staff, as well as dozens of creators, will be in attendance.
The event is also a celebration of the free-to-play MMORPG’s 25th anniversary. It will feature two grand stages with content running in tandem. So, you’ll need to think ahead about what you want to see live. The main stage will feature the kind of content you’d expect from RuneFest as well as an anniversary-themed Opening Ceremony.
As for the tickets. Those go on sale at 8:00 Pacific on April 30. There will be two tiers of tickets to choose from: Standard and Gold. Standard includes full access to the fest on both days and a goodie bag, while Gold offers additional benefits and upgrades the goodie bag, even including an exclusive RuneFest 2026 Gold Trim Rune Armor figurine from YouTooz.
The announcement does note that the tickets sold out in under 5 minutes last year. Even with double the number of tickets, they could still be gone in the same amount of time. So, remember to set your alarms and be ready to go when the sale kicks off on the RuneFest site.
