While a closed beta test is currently ongoing, the next closed beta test for The Quinfall will apparently have no NDA. This means those of us who aren't part of the tests will finally get to see and hear about the MMO and what it's like to actually play the game.
This was one of a handful of revelations we got from a developer Q&A video for The Quinfall, an MMORPG that has had its share of detractors.
The video starts off with the fact that they will not be restricting the game world in beta testing, and players will have access to all 1,600 square kilometers of the world. How full or void of life that world is, we'll have to wait for the NDA to drop to find out.
Next up they assert that The Quinfall will have no pay-to-win whatsoever in the game. The business model will be buy-to-play on Steam with a cash shop and no subscription. They defended their previous MMO Kayra Online by saying it had no P2W elements either. A subject that is up for debate, as were Kayra's security features. Kayra is, of course, no longer in operation. Their cash shop currency, known as V Coin, will be available through Steam, and no cash shop purchases will be available during beta testing. They did not give any sort of date for Early Access.
The Quinfall will utilize a Channel system in which players can switch channels for PvE, PvP, or a mix of both. They want to emphasize each play style without degrading other playstyles by separating them into these channels.
There will be 16 professions in The Quinfall, and each will have 20 levels to work through. Professions can also be affected by the season.
You can watch the full 40-minute video below if you're interested.
