Tavernlight Games announced today that their upcoming top-down MMORPG Ravendawn Online is headed into an open beta period beginning December 14th. Anyone who creates an account on the official site can download and try the game. This will be followed by the free-to-play launch on January 16th.
Ravendawn Online is a top-down, nostalgic MMORPG that features open-world land ownership, house building, farming plants and animals, and naval battles. The Tavernlight Games team says that Ravendawn Online will focus on the core tenants of dynamic world building, community, deep character customization, and a player-driven world above all else.
“Many have called us a Modern day Tibia. We have taken inspiration from this nostalgic title that we grew up loving, but have evolved this retro style with Modern Game Design. And just as we've modernized gameplay, we're equally committed to the long-term journey of Ravendawn.
