Just a little over a week ago, we reported on the closing of Redfall and the studio behind the shooter, Arkane Austin. This was just part of a larger move by Microsoft. A move that included closing 4 total studios and layoffs went with those closures.
In a weird series of events, it looked like Redfall was actually in the process of getting some updates the day everything went down at the studio. Luckily for players expecting the long-awaited offline mode, that update is actually still coming to the title.
In a post on X, the Redfall team announced that the final update for the vampire shooter is coming soon. Not only is offline play being added, but the update will include a few other features like single-player pausing, improvements to Neighborhoods and Nests, and more. Details will be fully released soon.
Thank you for all your supportive messages.

We are working to release our final update, Game Update 4, that brings revamped Neighborhood and Nest systems, Single Player Pausing, Offline Mode, and more.
We’ll provide additional details soon. Thank you all.
By the way, if you're still waiting to see how the company is going to handle "credits" for those that bought expanded editions of the game that included features that now will never arrive...keep waiting. You can follow the announcement post, but as of this moment there still aren't any details to share on what you'll be getting and how you'll get it.
