Tank Shooter Game Tyr Rolls Out Early Access

A new free-to-play tank shooter game opened its doors to players today. Tyr from Stoke Games launched in Early Access on Steam. The game launches with a roster of armored vehicles, each with unique abilities like cloaking and sonar. Each tank fills its own role on a team. That said, players aren’t completely locked in, as the tanks can be upgraded and changed to match the players’ styles using tech trees, ammo slots, and components.

Tyr promises that they won’t be locking better tanks behind the shop. Nor will players be purchasing weapons ore consumables. That said, Stoke Games is offering players the ability to purchase a Founder’s Pack. They only have one, and it runs $15. In exchange players will receive a special title, an exclusive golden Tyr charm, and 3000 Gold to be spent on things like tank styles, charms, and Kill VFX.

Early Access is not locked behind the pack. In fact, the purchase page for the Founder’s Pack explicitly tells those who have never played Tyr to try the game first before spending the money.
