As promised, Kuro Games hosted a special Broadcast this morning, introducing the next chapter in Wuthering Waves’ story, Version 2.5, Unfolding Melody of Life. As we suspected from seeing the teaser art earlier this week, this update brings us before the Fractsidus once again – specifically, Phrolova.

Only this time, it seems that the encounter will be different, as players will team up with the Conductor and learn more about her, including uncovering her potential ties to the Order of the Deep. In fact, they will be forced to confront the Primus of that same order, Fenrico. (It’s not like we didn’t know that it would come to this at some point.)

As Phrolova is now (sort of) a companion, it shouldn’t be any surprise that she will be available as the next playable Resonator in this update. The update also includes rerolls for Brant, Roccia, and Cantarella, as well as their respective weapons.

In addition to the new story and characters, the devs also highlighted quality of life changes they’ve been working on for the F2P action RPG. This includes improvements to the Solaris Film Festival gameplay and adding new and more challenging gameplay for the Overflowing Pallettes that can be found on the world map.
